The ultimate material build-up, blockage & rock breaking tool
The CARDOX System is a versatile equipment that is used in a diversity of industries as an effective solution for the removal build-up, blockage clearing, unclogging harden materials as well as in rock excavation.
The CARDOX system consists of a high-strength reusable steel tube filled with liquid carbon dioxide (CO2) that is energized with a small electrical charge. Expanding up to 600 times the original volume, the CO2 is released through a discharge nozzle, creating a powerful pushing force reaching pressures up to 27,000 & 34,000 psi. More than three tons of blockages can be dislodged by a single blast in milliseconds.

CARDOX can be a preventative maintenance tool
Build-up prevention
Because CARDOX is used from outside your equipment at operating temperatures, many plants don't wait for a major problem to use CARDOX.
They use it as a preventative maintenance tool. Pre-calciners, feed shelves, silos, transfer chutes and other trouble spots, are shot daily or during each shift (while on line) to purge any material buildup before blockage occurs, insuring continuous operation.
Safety First
Safety
The CARDOX tube is used from the outside of your equipment. Workers do not have to enter the clogged area, eliminating any danger from heat exposure, contaminated air or loosened materials. Because the CARDOX tube is secured in a sealed coupler assembly, your operators are not exposed to flying debris as can happen with water injection. They are not dangerously close to the blast area as with shotgun methods. Plant personnel operate from a safe distance while CARDOX does the work.
As part of the Quik-Lok Coupling System, sockets are permanently mounted on your equipment wherever buildup is known or suspected. Using the mating Quick-Lok Tube Clamp, a sealed coupling is quickly achieved. The CARDOX tube is set at the desired depth and direction inside the vessel.
This control of the discharge minimizes any risk to refractory in the equipment. And the secure coupling means your operators are not exposed to flying debris as can happen while trying to clear blockage with water injection. Workers do not have to enter the clogged area, eliminating any danger from heat exposure, contaminated air, or loosened materials. |

Benefits of using CARDOX Systems
Safer
-
Reduces employee exposure to hot gases and process material
-
Eliminates dangers associated with water blasting and poking
-
Eliminates dangers associated with shotgun and manual kiln ring removal
-
Documents materials certification, manufacturing lots and historical service records through serial numbers on each tube
-
Eliminates misfires that can occur when cold tubes are fired before internal pressures have normalized
Faster
-
New technologies facilitate faster turnarounds
-
High pressure CO2 pumps eliminate the need to cool tubes before charging
-
Tubes are rebuilt and recharged in five minutes
-
Eliminates the bulky freezers and the delays association with the bleed and fill technology of the 1930s.
-
Increases CO2 use to 10-to-15 tubes filled per 50-pound bottle, rather than the one-to-five tube fills with the old technology
